2016 Global Summit of Women


The leading economy in Central and Eastern Europe, Poland will be the home of the 2016 Global Summit of Women. on June 9-11 2016. Under the theme of Women-Building an Inclusive Economy in the Digital Age. There will be over 1,000 women leaders in business and government from 70 different countries.

 

The theme spotlights women’s influence in creating stronger economies in this era of new technologies affecting the way government and corporations do business. Government leaders such as the Prime Minister of Latvia, Laimdota Straujuma and President of Kosovo, Atifete Jahjaga will be in attendance. The Heads of State will be joined by over 30 women government ministers, who will participate once again in a Pre-Summit Ministerial Roundtable focused on public-private sector projects which have succeeded in advancing economic opportunities for women and girls.

 

A special opportunity to continue the networking at the Summit while partaking in the rich cultural history of Poland, a Post-Summit excursion to Krakow is offered exclusively to Summit delegates. For 340 Euros (approximately $365 US), the tour includes round-trip train ticket from Warsaw, two nights at a 5-star hotel close to the center of Old Krakow, lunch organized by the Mayor of Krakow, a tour of the Wieliczka Salt Mine (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), and other activities.
