Toki is a certified Business Development Service Provider. She is passionate about growing small and medium enterprises (SMEs) on the African continent. She founded Toki Mabogunje & Co. in the year 2000 to enable the growth of SMEs as they strive to reach their full potential. As a qualified lawyer and business strategist, Toki brings her wealth of experience and expertise to development work.
In view of Africa’s business environment challenges, Toki got quite involved in policy formation and business advocacy which led to her taking up leadership roles in the organized private sector. Amongst several other governance and board positions, she was president of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (2019 – 2021), and was the 3rd woman in the 135 year history of the chamber to do so. She has served as a general council member of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) / World Chamber Federation (WCF) (2019 – 2022). She is currently the Vice Chair, Africa for ICC / WCF.
Toki’s areas of special interest are: Business Advisory, Capacity Building, Corporate Strategy, Legal Advisory, and Value Chain Development.
